If you created a playlist of my most played songs of 2011, Midnight City would be the entire playlist. It’s luscious, colorful, dreamy pop electronica and it sounds super good through my headphones! I wonder how Anthony Gonzalez gets some of the sounds he employs on this track. It’s unbelievable. Also, there’s a saxophone solo that shouldn’t work but oh does it work. A saxophone so tasty that even Steve Winwood would be impressed. No matter where you listen to this song, your house, car, headphones, you can’t help yourself but crank it up to eleven. Enjoy.
